I got a great offer from a friend. The cost was really nice, and she was very helpful. But does it pay you anything?
No. If it was a low-risk venture, it would pay you a very small commission, just 30%. It could pay you millions (with your money going directly to the company).
What is a good way to get started?
I have a small business development workshop: 5 sessions for $300. My co-organizer is a friend of mine called Chris (and this is our second or third workshop!). Chris created a good course called “Startup: Startups for Kids,” and he teaches at NYU. Here is one of his videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X9XK4Rf1b8
How many hours a week should I work?
I recommend 1-2 hours a day. That is a flexible schedule.
How is my money used?
My monthly PayPal balance is over $2,000. I used that to pay my first month’s rent, buy new food for the house, pay for food for my family to be there for a few days before we got back from a trip, and some other expenses. For example, the first month’s rent was $1,200 (I paid $1,800 in total); after the food for the house went bad, I paid another month for $400. My food expenses are mostly $300 a month and rent $1,500. I pay the rest of my expenses through my employer.
I just made a video to get this started. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzk7g1_7WV4

There are a lot of Etsy buyers that can look at my designs and tell you that they really like what they see. The products are priced very well and the sellers do so well under the radar. They are a lot of fun to work with and also the best way to get paid. It took around 2 1/2 years for me to grow from a small, one-person business to an active business with around 300 customers and 20
