What is photo editing meaning? – Shutterstock Contributor

The most popular definition of photo editing is it takes an image and makes it look as good as possible. While this seems to be a good definition of photo editing, there are many different approaches that have the potential to be more successful. Photo editing is just one of the many tools that can be used to make your photos look more appealing and more polished.

Photo editing is something that’s very difficult to find many of now. Most will tell you that there is no need to spend your time on photo editing unless you are taking care of your image or photography. It’s time consuming work that you can probably do more with with your time.

When you take a picture, then you need to figure out a way to bring the best out of that image. There is only a tiny handful of factors that affect how well an image looks, so you will need to work hard to see the results that you want and then be sure to use the editing tools that are right for you.

Here are 5 tips to see the best results out of your photo editing.

1. Don’t just edit your eyes and lips.

A lot of people will tell you to just look at your eyes and lip. When I was younger I had a tendency to look at the back of my nose on the right hand side. That would make me look like a clown or a clownface. This is a little more common amongst younger people and can even be called a “cheek tattoo.” If you are looking for a different tattoo to add to your face, try a nose tattoo.

2. Think about the lighting.

Lighting can make or break your photo edit. If you choose to make one of your photos super sharp, it will probably make the photos you take look much worse than they actually are. When you’re editing, focus on your eye line or lip line and the brightness of the light you’re shooting. This is the only way to change the brightness of your photo.

3. Think about the angle.

When you are editing, you will want to be in a position in which you’re framing your photos. It doesn’t matter if it’s portrait mode or landscape mode. Keep your camera close to the body while editing so you can focus on the eyes or the lips. Try to get the photo from the top or from the sides.
