Do the police department get paid? Or are the people who work under the watch of these policemen paid a low amount at best. If they are not, the system doesn’t really work. Also, do police departments have the resources to keep track of all of this? We really could not afford more than a few hours of coverage every day so there is little incentive to do anything other than just keep it going.
How does the process work?
Our website is run by a group of volunteers. Every week we invite one or more authors to review a short excerpt of our works, or any story. The reviewers then go through the stories to rank the story by the quantity and quality of the story, and provide their reasons for the rating, so the reader can see why they chose what they did. Then we look for the writers with the most favorable scores and we offer them a small amount of money to promote their book!
If you were looking for the first time, in a long while, the most well-written and interesting book about the modern world, The Rise of the Creative Class , is available.
I haven’t read it, but I have seen reviews, and when I go online it is almost always praised. The author is Nick Srnicek, the author of “The Innovators” and was previously best known for the books “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” and “The Creative Class.”
When I say “best known” for the book, I mean that. If you want to know what the modern world is actually like, then there are very few places where you are truly safe from the negative opinions you hear from others who have never been there or are completely ignorant what it is actually like.
In addition to that, he has written three other books that have sold a lot of books. The new one, however, I find the more interesting.
He was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he taught creative arts for 17 years. He writes:
In the book, I discuss how the creative class has grown at a remarkable rate. Although it isn’t as visible as it had been in the 1950s and 1960s, when the majority of creative professionals were working in non-creative industries, today, according to Prof. Srnicek, there are more than 2 million Americans in creative professions—about the same number as there are in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force combined.
