If you’ve ever had the time to actually try a high-grade, organic, gluten-free cookie, you know that baking is truly the act of trying to combine three ingredients — sugar, eggs and butter — into one that doesn’t taste bad but may have the right amount of each. In fact, it’s the act of making cookies that brings together a foodie community that’s dedicated to the cause and in turn inspires people to make their own cookies.

As I travel the country introducing people to delicious cookie recipes, I have noticed so many people, particularly the young ones, wanting to cook and bake and eat chocolate that I have stopped counting the number of times I’ve seen these kids asking me if they can get their hands on some. There are also some parents in the audience who seem eager to share their knowledge on how to make healthy versions of these cookies and I have even heard a few parents tell me they can’t wait for their kids to get these out of the oven so that they can eat them with their favorite ice cream.

The chocolate chip cookie (chocolate chip cookies) is one of the most loved foods in the world, and because of that, many of us know what it smells like, tastes like, and most importantly, how to make it. While there are a lot of other foods that could make an interesting addition to a cookie recipe, chocolate chips are one I feel strongly about as it makes all of the cookies I make — and many I’m not making — taste absolutely gorgeous.

While there are a wide variety of chocolate chip cookies to choose from, I think I’ve always gone with Trader Joe’s, which has a wide variety of chocolate chip cookies to choose from. I love their chocolate chunks and chunks, but also their dark chocolate chips and chocolate pecan chips. I love how their chocolate comes out in a thin sheet and can be stirred in the oven while still crisp. For some reason, Trader Joe’s also has a large amount of cocoa butter, which is used in a lot of cookies because it’s cheaper, it’s versatile and it adds the perfect bit of savory depth to the cookies.
