We recommend you always start lessons at least once weekly. Here are some simple questions to consider as you pick a course:
What time and location is it?
How many times can I take the class?
What is the cost? You can save money by booking in advance.
Do I need to buy anything?
Generally, courses are only offered for about $30-40 a pop.
What kind of music lessons do I have to take?
Generally, you can have lessons in either music theory or guitar.
Have I already studied guitar, music theory, or both?
It is possible to take music lessons from a wide range of instructors; some more experienced than others, some better than others, some even have other certifications!
What’s your background in music? Do you have music training at home?
We have a large group of teachers that have a background in the music business or music education, and all of them share our enthusiasm for music education and its importance to musicians. Many of them will have additional training in music theory, but there is not a rule of thumb for what a particular type of training is.
When you have a question on guitar, piano, harmonica or any other instrument, we can usually help you find an answer. We do not try to cover every instrument or situation, and you will always find a link or two for each situation listed below. If you have any questions on the above topics, don’t hesitate to get in touch at: firstname.lastname@example.org
