How do you pop and lock your hips? – Belly Dance Drawing

Here are some of the most popular hips movement patterns.

You don’t have tight hamstrings if you have tight hips. I mean really tight. It’s a myth that tight hamstrings = tight hips, and when you’re using this movement pattern, I’d highly encourage you to try this.

Don’t have tight hamstrings? You could follow these next two steps and you will feel much tighter hamstrings.

Step 1: Kneel on the balls of your feet and close your eyes/glasses. Do this and relax.

Step 2: Now imagine if you were using this hip mobility pattern and you slowly took your legs up over your head, and with your hips moving forward you slowly pulled your knees back until they were slightly above your chin.

Your hips should be quite tight now. If you can feel the knees pulling back, your hips will be tighter. If you can’t feel the glutes doing this, keep doing it and see what happens with your hips. If you think about pulling your knees back then you need to loosen your hips a bit.

That’s a good hip mobility pattern.

Also, I’m sure not everyone will feel this tight hip mobility pattern. In my experience I think that this hip mobility pattern creates just enough tension to really make this hip mobility pattern good for many people. This is because with tight hip mobility in you’ll really get that tight glutes and have plenty of room for them to take out of your body.
